HAPPY 4TH EVERYONE,
God bless America and all those who live in it. May God bless our country with more great and glorious men and women to love our country and to protect her from all evils, near and far. America is a God blessed nation with many heroes serving our country as well as many wonderful contributors to our country with their intelligence, talents, skills, and hard work. Each contributor in America has been a blessing to our nation. We depend on each other for love, life, education and prosperity. St. Paul reminded all of us about the importance of working for the good of others, their souls and a better life for all. He said that those who do not work should not eat. This means that lazy people don't deserve to eat for we all can do something for the good of many, including the people we live with or see daily. If a person for some special reason is incapable, such as being disabled or elderly or can't work with their hands, they can always work with their heart through prayer and supporting our country and the good work being done by others. I am sure and certain that America has been blessed by millions of Americans with their many sacrifices for peace, freedom and prosperity of our country that are appreciated by many and blessed by God. I hope that all those who live in America know how blessed they are to be living in America, so that they will never do harm in words or action to our beautiful country. Millions of people like myself had to flee from where we were born, due to communism and heartless government leaders, corrupted leaders, to America for freedom and for a better way of life. There is nothing worse in America than for those who live in it and fail to love her. It’s our citizen's duty to love her with our prayers for her, for those who sacrifice daily for her and for those who are building her up with dignity and life for all people. God bless America, our beautiful homeland, Happy 4th--- Fr. Hien My Dear Parishioners,
Are you ready for July? Can you believe that we are about halfway through summer, and July 4th is coming? Yes, summertime seems too short. May it be a reminder to all of us who were born on this earth that life is short and over for ever at the moment of death, unless today we live with faith in God. Only God can do all things and only God can give life on earth as it will be in heaven. I am so thankful to my parents who gave me their Catholic faith. I am blessed to have migrated to America and to call America my homeland. I am hoping and praying that our government leaders and all those who are living in America will see and understand the wisdom of our forefathers who founded America. They had faith in God to the point that they labeled America’s most important treasure, currency, money, with “In God We Trust.” Everyone then and now must use money to buy and to sell; therefore, everyone must learn how important God is to America and to the people of America. Sadly, this faith in God has been lost by our government leaders and by many people living in America for decades, like the Biblical story of the prodigal son. The consequences of not having God in our policies, government, and people are what we have been seeing lately -- prejudice, hatred, racism, and killing one another in America, including the innocent unborn. When people don’t have God in their hearts, they don’t have a conscience, and no one is important or of value to them. God on the other hand, has been patiently, every moment, waiting for the return of our heart, mind, and soul. Please know that God still loves us and shows us His Divine Mercy. All our government leaders and the people of America are to repent and to return to the Lord. God, our loving Father, is waiting for the return of His prodigal children and government. Please say a prayer for God’s blessing upon America as we are about to celebrate our freedom and independence. God bless America, our beautiful homeland, Fr. Hien My Dear Parishioners,
Happy Father’s Day weekend to all dads. May our Lord bless you with His Fatherly love so that you will always have God’s love within you to love your spouse and family. Please know that you are very important to us. We are blessed to have you in our lives. Thank you for your many sacrifices of love all these years. It is greatly appreciated! Please continue being the best dad you can be, especially in the ways of faith and good conduct. Don’t forget to pray for us daily for God loves to hear from your heart. St. Joseph, pray for our dads. Happy Father’s Day. God bless our families, Fr. Hien My Dear Parishioners,
This weekend, we will celebrate the Most Holy Trinity. It was Jesus who made known to us the Holy Trinity, of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Three persons in one Holy God, United and Undivided, who loves all of us eternally. To celebrate the most Holy Trinity is to celebrate the God who is with us, in us and always loving us. Our God is the God of love, even when we are sinners. Please, each day, do your best to live with love for one another, especially for every person in your family. Yes, you can live to love and to share your time, talent, and treasure with each other. If today you could live in peace and with love for each other, you will always have each other on earth as it will be in heaven. Looking ahead, next weekend, June 18th & 19th we will celebrate Father’s Day weekend. Please make your preparations to celebrate this weekend full of love for your parents and family, especially your dad. As a family, we need each other, to be loved by them and to love them as God loves us, unconditionally. Recently, I wrote a letter to our Bishop, inviting him to join our church family for a holy and fun day at All Saints on Saturday, October 8. The plan is to celebrate this year of the Eucharist with a Eucharistic procession along with the statue of our Lady of La Vang around our church at 4pm, followed by a bilingual Holy Mass, a free dinner (KofC and Altar Society will help), and an outside music concert. Earlier in the day from about 10am-2pm, the school PTO & Council will have fun activities for kids and their families, such as a petting zoo, bouncing house, etc.… Love you all, Fr. Hien My Dear Parishioners,
None of us have been to heaven; there has been only one person, Jesus, who came from heaven to love us and to save us. Jesus, who loves us eternally and who would love for all of us to continue living forever in heaven with Him. How blessed are we to be loved by God, who created us and who has been giving us love all the time. Today, the church celebrated the Ascension of the Lord to heaven to remind us that He went to heaven to prepare a place for us. He prayed that those who loved Him and those who loved God would be with Him for eternal life. God is love and if a person lives to love another as him/herself, they will be blessed with eternal life. Jesus’ disciples were joyful seeing Jesus taken to heaven, may we look forward to our eternal life in heaven. Please join me in thanking God for all the ordained priests of our diocese, especially Fr. Dwight Birket who will have been a priest 50 years on May 27th. Father was once a pastor of our parish. On the same day, I will be ordained 22 years. I have made arrangements with Father so that he can be in our parish on Sunday, August 7th to celebrate our 9am Mass, followed by a cake reception so that everyone can personally meet him and congratulate him. Thanks be to God for all the vocations in our diocese, especially the many young men will be ordained deacons and priests this weekend. Happy Memorial Weekend to everyone. This Monday, all Catholic cemeteries will have a special Mass for the deceased. This Monday there will be 10am Mass at Calvary, unless it rains, then it will be held in our church. God bless us all and I love you too, Fr. Hien My Dear Parishioners,
Please join me in thanking God and congratulating all our All Saints Catholic school students. They are finishing up their school year this week. It was truly a special academic year for our students who have grown so much in all areas, academic to spiritual, especially our graduating eighth grade students. They are Jayda Delarue, Ky Dinh, Thanh Do, Daniella Estrada, Milagros (Mili)-Meeli Galarza, Elaine Hesse, Connor Ho, Andrew (Hammie) Kucera, Fatima Moreno-Avila, Isaac Mosqueda, Mia Murguia, Brandon Nguyen, Catherine Nguyen, Lac Nguyen, Mathew Nguyen, Thinh Nguyen, Vu Ky Tai Nguyen, Thao (Mimi) Pham, Tjaden Pham, Avery Rangel, Anne Christy Rayappa, Benjamin Salcedo, Lucy Schneider, and Leann Tran. These children have been attending All Saints all or most their life. They have grown a great deal. They are smart and intelligent. They have great love for their Catholic faith. They have been role models for their siblings and other students. They have been leaders to our little children, especially helping the little ones to be reverent in church. I am thankful to God for each one of them. They have made me proud of them. I hope that as they grow older, especially at MKC, they will be the best students they can be. They will be good Catholics like they have been at All Saints. Of course, I hope that they will continue communicating with their parents, especially with Jesus from their hearts. I pray that some of them might consider religious vocations. We need more religious life from our parish. These children will graduate from All Saints at their special 8am Mass on Tuesday, May 24th. Please join us and them. Thank you to their parents for helping them and forming them in the ways of faith. As a church family, we are blessed to have each other, the old and the young, the born and the unborn. God bless us all and I love you too, Fr. Hien My Dear Parishioners,
Congratulations to our First Communicant children. They are Michael Abarca, Nicole Bramhall, Sofia Gonzalez-Ramirez, Mylia Huynh, Sophia Trinh, Apple Nguyen, Ryan Nguyen, Carsen Pham, Laura Nguyen, Cindy Quiroz-Rocha, Elena Webb and Josue Kabagaya. These children had their First Confession last Saturday, May 7th and received their first Holy Communion later that day at our 4pm Mass. It was truly a special day for them, their families, teachers, and for me too. I love our children because they are special to me. I loved them when they were reverently receiving Jesus. I always learn a lot from children from their innocence, niceness, kindness, and holiness. Jesus knew what He was talking about when He said, “Blessed are those who have the heart of a child.” If God would allow me to be a child every day, all my life, I would, in this way I would never have gray hair on my head. Please know that each one of us is a child of God and He is always there for us, listening to us and helping us. His blessings are waiting to be given to us all. A special thanks to their teachers and helpers who helped our children learn the Catholic Faith, especially how to love Jesus. Thank you also to their parents for helping them and forming them in the ways of faith. As a church family, we are blessed to have each other, the old and the young, the born and the unborn. God bless us all and I love you too, Fr. Hien GOD BLESS OUR PARENTS!
Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all our moms. God bless our mothers and our families with His heavenly joy, peace, and happiness. Of course, may God bless us with good health and good relationships with each other. Please thank God each day for your parents and your family members. They are very important to each one of us, as we are all very important to them. Don’t let the devil tell you something different. It wants to destroy your lives and your families. It wants to keep you from being loved and loving one another. Don’t fall into this trap and eternal hell. Always trust in God like Mother Mary, always put on love like Jesus showed us, and everyday do hard work for our families like St. Joseph, the greatest model for all men, especially dads. May the Holy Family pray for us and our families until we are in heaven with them. Thank You: Thank you to all those who supported our annual food sale last weekend with your time, talent, and treasure. Thanks to Brother Knights, Altar Society ladies, and the many Vietnamese parishioners and friends of the parish. Yes, we did it and the food was super delicious, and many people had a great time. Thank you to so many good-hearted cookers preparing and cooking for us. We made $43,681.91 from the food sales, and all of it will go to our “Building Fund Account.” First Confession and Holy Communion: Students and parents are to attend the rehearsal this Saturday, May 7th at 9am, getting ready for the 4pm, First Holy Communion Mass. After Mass, I will take individual pictures with every child. I can’t wait to celebrate this special day with our children and your families. I love you all, Fr. Hien My Dear Parishioners,
How important is your mother to you? I hope that you are loving your parents, especially your mother who gave you your life and birth, besides the other million things she did and will do for you. Love your parents before they are gone to the Lord. Please know that Mother Mary is super important for every one of us, to all people born into this life. Mary is like our mothers, without our mothers, we would not have been born; without Mother Mary, we would not make it very far, even to heaven. It’s because she is so united with God, and she is also the mother of God—Jesus. Jesus has entrusted every one of us to her constant love, care, and prayer until we are all in heaven with her. So, throughout this month of May, please remember your parents in your daily prayers, especially your mother, as we are about to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend. When you pray, ask Mother Mary to teach you how to pray to please God. Ask for her intercession before her son Jesus. Our All Saints students will do the traditional May crowning at their 8am Mass on Tuesday, May 3rd. Please join us! First Confession and Holy Communion: Students and parents are to attend the rehearsal next Saturday, May 7th at 9am, getting ready for the 4pm, First Holy Communion Mass. After Mass, I will take individual pictures with every child, and then with their families if requested. Don’t forget to attend our annual Vietnamese food sale this weekend, so much delicious food to enjoy. Thank you to so many good-hearted cookers preparing and cooking for us. It will be so fun to see people putting their effort and cooking skills to work. I love you all, Fr. Hien DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY,
GOD IS LOVE AND HIS DIVINE LOVE IS EVERLASTING! God bless you and your loved ones. We are celebrating Easter that brings us joy, hope and the promise that we will see our beloved deceased family members and friends in heaven. Today, the church celebrates God’s divine love for all of us, so that we may have eternal life through the resurrection of Jesus. Please put your trust in God today with all your heart, mind, and soul. Trust that God knows you, loves you, and God is always wanting you to be forgiven of your sins and to be holy again, so that you will be in heaven with God and with all the angels and saints. Come To the Feast: Next weekend, Friday through Sunday, is our annual Vietnamese food sale. This year we are blessed with volunteers from out of state to cook crawfish for us. Please read the Vietnamese section of this bulletin for the full menu and what will be available. All food sales income will be given to the parish’s building fund, to help maintain and to keep updating our grounds. Happy Easter and I love you all, Fr. Hien |
